There is some question from a customer.

Question.

What’s the difference is between 1080 p and 1080 i?
I have the HD cable for the xbox 360 and I attacked him .
I go to settings HDTV and I have to choose between 480 p, 720 p, 1080 i and 1080 p.
What is the best between 1080 i and 1080 p? changing?

Answer1.

Both formats have a resolution of 1920×1200, the difference lies in the amount of data transmitted at all times:: the 1080th transmits exactly half the data in the 1080p format, ie 1080p is a definition of 1080 horizontal lines drawn in parallel on all screen, while the 1080th draw the horizontal lines interlaced, ie those that are drawn first and then the odd ones (or vice versa) at intervals of 1 / 30 of a second.
Obviously the 1080p are higher.

Answer2.

HD Ready simply means that the maximum display resolution is 720p which is equivalent to 1280×720 (if I remember correctly) but is capable of receiving signals to 1080p which is 1920×1080. Logically this does not mean that you get to 1920×1080 but the maximum resolution of the TV.

End.
